Royal Government will end the attempt to make a land revolution by using people to measure and issue land titles to citizens

The Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction, Say Sam Al, emphasised that the Royal Government will end the attempt to carry out a land revolution in Cambodia by using total force across the country to measure and issue land titles to the people.

he Deputy Prime Minister confirmed this at the meeting of the Cadastral Commission and the National Authority for Land Dispute Resolution yesterday.

Sam Al considered land registration a historical task in continuing to reform Cambodia’s land, creating a conflict-free environment in order to manage and develop the land sector more accurately and effectively.

He claimed that what the Royal Government has been doing now is to complete the registration of land before 2029, the 40th anniversary of the issuance of land titles to the people.

According to Say Sam Al, so far the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction has already issued about 5 million land titles to people, while about 2 million are being distributed every day. In particular, for the area that has not been measured across the country, there are about 5 million plots left to be measured and registered.

The measurement and issuance of land titles, which are the property of the people, has received a lot of applause on social media, and this is an important achievement for the Royal Government. Kampuchea Thmey
